There are a number of definitions according to the world’s standards. We will look at the Biblical call to be a real man as one who rejects passivity, accepts responsibility, leads courageously and invests in eternity. The purpose of the Men’s Ministry at CCN is expressed in Colossians 1:28 | “That we may present every man complete in Christ.” |
What does it mean to be “complete in Christ” as a man? To be complete in Christ means that we are happy in being a man! We provide for our families. We provide for our family, fight for righteousness sake, have close male friends that encourage us and are faithful to our wife (or keeping ourselves sexually pure before marriage). In Proverbs 27:17 we are told, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Strong men build up other strong men.

This year at AZNYI’s Summer Camps, our hope is to help students connect with God, People, and Purpose. We wholeheartedly believe that if we can provide God-honoring worship environments; extremely, mind-blowing fun; connective opportunities to create lifelong friendships; and at the same time, help students open their eyes to how Christ wants them to join Him in His redemptive work in this world, indeed the loneliness, emptiness, and lost feelings will be a thing of the past. Come join us for a crazy awesome camping experience, as we journey toward healthy connectivity. SPastor Kevin McGinnis is truly a seeker after the heart of God. He is a very gifted communicator, who brilliantly brings the story of God to life in entertaining, engaging, and simplistic ways. He has devoted the majority of his life to serving Jesus, and building His kingdom, especially on the Arizona District. Pastor Kevin served as Student Ministries Pastor for 15 years at Tempe Church of the Nazarene until the Lord called him and his family to plant Mosaic Church in Florence, AZ. He has served as lead pastor there for the last 10 years. During the time he spent in student ministries, Kevin also served as Arizona District NYI President, NYC Coordinator, Camp Director, Camp Speaker, and various other lead and supporting roles on the district. Kevin attended college at PLNU where he completed a Bachelors of Arts in Religion, a Masters of Christian Education and a Masters of Ministry. He has been married to his wife, Lisa (Allison) McGinnis, for 22 years and has three boys: Aiden (14), Quincy (11) and Rowan (9). The Vine grows in love and charity through social events, service opportunities, prayer and discussion, and finally opportunity to grow deeper in our faith with talks given by Pastor Katie Adams and special guests. This is achieved by inviting and encouraging them to become involved in age-appropriate activities and ministries. Everyone has the ability to bring Jesus to others and these young people surely do come forward to show His love. Our goal as a parish is to foster a welcoming atmosphere that offers these young people the opportunities to discover and share their gifts. They have so much to give!! Working with them is a blessing in itself.
